And so it begins
Although my studio isn’t completely finished, I realized quickly that it will have to be considered a work in progress. However, I am so excited to have a designated space designed to my specifications and now I am able to get in there and create. In the beginning, I loved the idea of making my own jewelry, but had no idea how to do it. Then, while in Hawaii last winter, my friend talked me into going “shopping” with her, which to my delight, actually meant shell shopping with a mask and snorkel. We collected lots of treasures at the beach, then she took me back to her studio and taught me some jewelry making basics.
In the past, I had actually dabbled a bit with the Chin Leu style wrap leather and beaded bracelets, making all my friends and family several, but then I grew tired of making the same thing over and over. So this new opportunity found me giddy with excitement and I couldn’t wait to get home and get started. And so it began, my addiction to jewelry making!
